Spec-based review: scored from Beatbot's published specifications with the same weights as every other robotic skimmer cleaner. Not a hands-on test. How we score.

Our take

The Beatbot iSkim Robotic Pool Skimmer, released in 2026, is a solar-assisted robotic surface skimmer from Beatbot. It works the surface, moving at random, turning when it bumps into a wall, and connects to its app over Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. A charge lasts up to 1680 minutes and takes about 5 hours to refill.

On paper it scores 7.6 out of 10 (good) against other robotic skimmers. Its strongest areas are runtime (10.0) and app & connectivity (9.0). Where it gives ground: filtration (3.3) and navigation (4.0). Coarse 550-micron filter lets fine dirt through.

The best price we found is $359 at Beatbot, 28% off its $499 list price. The typical robotic skimmer we track costs $379.90, so this one is about average. For what it does, its value score is 10.0 out of 10.

Bottom line: a good pick for yards with trees: leaves get skimmed before they sink, pools with no outlet near the deck, scheduling and checking on cleans from your phone and above-ground pools.

Pros

  • +Skims leaves and pollen off the surface before they sink.
  • +Cordless: no cable to tangle or drape across the pool.
  • +Solar panel tops up the battery while it works.
  • +Long battery life: up to 1680 minutes per cycle.
  • +Wi-Fi app: schedule and start cleans from anywhere.
  • +Top-access filter basket: no bag to wash out.
  • +Parks at the wall when it finishes or runs low, so it is easy to lift out.
  • +3-year warranty, longer than most.
  • +Works in above-ground pools as well as in-ground.

Cons

  • −Coarse 550-micron filter lets fine dirt through.
